Investigators from the Liberia National Police have conducted another reconstruction of the alleged crime scene at the Old Road residence of Liberian economist and political commentator Samuel Jackson as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of his wife, Ntombi Toni Khumalo.

The latest exercise, carried out by the police forensic team in Monrovia, marks the third comprehensive examination of the property since the investigation began. Authorities say the renewed visit is aimed at reconstructing the crime scene and determining the exact circumstances surrounding the victim’s death.

During the reconstruction, Jackson was reportedly asked by investigators to demonstrate the position in which he claimed to have first discovered his wife. According to the account he provided to police, he found the victim on the bed while her lower body was positioned on the floor.

Investigators also received additional information from a domestic worker at the residence, who reportedly disclosed that blood had been wiped from the bedroom floor.

Forensic analysts examining the scene noted the possibility that a sharp-edged instrument may have been used to inflict the deep laceration earlier reported on the victim’s head. However, police say no such object has yet been produced by Jackson.

Authorities have since declared the residence a secured crime scene, restricting access to the property and its surrounding area while investigators continue their work.

The forensic team is currently analyzing evidence gathered from the scene, including blood spatter patterns, wound morphology, and trace materials collected from the bedroom floor.

Meanwhile, police say additional interviews are being scheduled with household staff and other individuals who may have information relevant to the events believed to have occurred between March 13 and March 14.

The development comes after the Liberia National Police upgraded Jackson from a person of interest to a formal suspect in the case. Despite the designation, members of his legal team continue to insist on his innocence.

Defense lawyer Sayma Cyrenius Cephus has pledged to join the team representing Jackson and maintain his defense, while another attorney, Jeremiah Samuel Dugbo, says the economist has fully cooperated with investigators by providing his phone, his late wife’s phone, and his laptop to assist with the investigation.

Police say the case remains active as forensic examinations, witness interviews, and other investigative procedures continue in an effort to establish the full facts surrounding the death.
