The Monrovia City Court has issued arrest orders for Moses H. Abossouhe, Chief Executive Officer of St. Moses Funeral Parlor, in connection with the alleged unlawful exhumation of a deceased woman and related criminal acts.

The writs were authorized by Stipendiary Magistrate L. Ben Barco following a formal complaint filed by private prosecutrix Euphemia Thompson Wisner through the Republic of Liberia.

Court filings accuse Abossouhe, along with Stanley Y. Roberts a priest from St. Timothy Episcopal Church and Jackie Greene, of taking part in the illegal disinterment of the remains of the late Pinky Greene.

According to the complaint, Pinky Greene passed away on January 1, 2026, and was laid to rest on January 31, 2026. Investigators allege that on February 25, 2026, her grave was unlawfully opened at a cemetery in Johnsonville, after which her remains were removed and later reburied in Bomi County at a gravesite reportedly owned and operated by Abossouhe.

Prosecutors contend that the exhumation was carried out without legal authorization, in direct violation of Section 18.12 of Liberia’s New Penal Law, which prohibits abuse of a corpse. The alleged act, authorities say, was deliberate, unlawful, and executed through a coordinated effort among the accused.

Charges Against the Defendants Include:

Abuse of a Corpse

Criminal Facilitation

• Criminal Conspiracy

The court has ordered law enforcement officers, including Captain Charles Bloyueloh of the Magistrate Police, to apprehend the accused and present them before the Monrovia City Court to answer to the charges.

Separate Writ Targets Jackie Greene

A separate writ issued on February 26, 2026, levels additional accusations against Jackie Greene, including:

Misapplication of Entrusted Property Theft of Property Abuse of a Corpse

Prosecutors allege that Greene unlawfully removed the body of her late aunt and deposited it at St. Moses Funeral Parlor without proper authorization, actions they say further violate Liberia’s Penal Law.

The matter remains pending as authorities work to enforce the court’s orders and advance the prosecution.
