The Margibi County Detachment of the Liberia National Police has formally charged and forwarded to court a 22-year-old Liberian national, Abraham Kamara, for allegedly impersonating a member of the Armed Forces of Liberia.

According to police authorities, Kamara was arrested after he was seen wearing an AFL uniform while allegedly harassing peaceful citizens within Margibi County. His actions reportedly raised public concern and prompted an immediate intervention by law enforcement officers.

Following a thorough investigation, Kamara has been charged with impersonating an official, theft of property, and disorderly conduct, in line with relevant provisions of the Liberian Penal Law. He has since been forwarded to court to face prosecution.

The Liberia National Police has cautioned the public that the unauthorized wearing of military or law enforcement uniforms constitutes a serious criminal offense. Police officials emphasized that such acts not only violate the law but also undermine public trust and pose potential threats to community safety.

Meanwhile, the Margibi County Police Detachment has called on residents to remain vigilant and to cooperate with law enforcement by providing timely and credible information that can aid in maintaining peace and security across the county.

The LNP reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property and assured the public that individuals who violate the law will be held accountable through the justice system.
