Monrovia, Liberia — After years of operating without a fixed address, the Musicians Union of Liberia has secured a permanent headquarters, marking a major breakthrough for the country’s music community. The milestone was made possible through the intervention of DJ Blue, Representative of District #17, Montserrado County.

Representative Blue, an internationally recognized disc jockey before his entry into politics, leveraged his influence and longstanding ties to the creative sector to facilitate the acquisition of the new office space. The development brings long-awaited stability to the union, which represents musicians across Liberia.

Before assuming public office, DJ Blue built a reputation as one of Liberia’s most celebrated entertainers, earning both national and international acclaim for his work in music and entertainment. Since transitioning into public service, he has remained deeply connected to the arts, using his legislative platform to advocate for policies that support culture, tourism, and creative enterprise.

Currently serving in the Liberian House of Representatives, Blue has been a consistent voice for the creative economy. Among his notable legislative achievements is sponsoring the bill that established the Liberia National Tourism Authority, now a fully operational institution tasked with promoting Liberia as an emerging tourism destination.

Industry stakeholders have welcomed the establishment of the MULIB headquarters, describing it as a critical step toward organizational growth. The new space is expected to serve as a central hub for coordination, advocacy, and professional development for musicians nationwide.

Observers say the move signals renewed momentum for Liberia’s creative arts sector and underscores the impact of leadership that bridges entertainment and governance.
