President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has formally accepted the resignation of Mr. James E. Kiawoin as Chairman of the President’s Youth Advisory Council, marking a leadership transition within the body responsible for advising the Executive on youth-related matters.
In acknowledging the resignation, President Boakai commended Mr. Kiawoin for his dedication and service over the past year, noting his contributions to national discourse on youth development. The President extended his appreciation and best wishes to the outgoing Chairman as he pursues future endeavors.
Meanwhile, President Boakai has appointed Mr. Mandela S. Gbollie as the new Chairman of the President’s Youth Advisory Council, succeeding Mr. Kiawoin.
Mr. Gbollie is widely regarded as a youth leader and seasoned professional, known for his advocacy for innovative ideas, institutional reform, and stronger accountability frameworks aimed at improving the effectiveness of youth representation in Liberia.
In announcing the appointment, President Boakai expressed confidence in Mr. Gbollie’s ability to provide sound and constructive guidance to the Administration, while championing policies that align with the aspirations and concerns of young people across the country.
The President reaffirmed his Administration’s commitment to meaningful youth engagement, emphasizing that young people remain central partners in national development, governance, and the broader reform agenda.
