Monrovia, Liberia — The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has firmly distanced itself from a social media post circulated by suspended agent Ayouba Kromah, as well as reports by some media outlets, which claimed that he had been reinstated.
In a statement, the LDEA described the information as “entirely false, deliberate, and misleading,” stressing that Kromah remains under suspension and has not been restored to active duty in any capacity.
The agency further cautioned the public and institutions against engaging in any form of business or official dealings with Kromah, warning that anyone who does so acts strictly at their own risk while the suspension remains in effect.
According to the LDEA, Agent Kromah is currently the subject of additional investigation by the agency’s Board of Internal Inquiry and Professional Standards, following concerns related to his recent conduct.
The LDEA said it remains committed to upholding professionalism, accountability, and discipline within its ranks, and urged the public to rely on official agency communications for accurate information regarding personnel matters.
