Indian Police Arrest South Sudanese Student in Killing of Liberian International Student
Indian authorities have arrested a South Sudanese international student, Noui Kur Majak, in connection with the killing of a Liberian student, Sam Poar Juday, at Kalinga University in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh State.
Juday, a Liberian national, was pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the university and reportedly lived in the same dormitory as the suspect. Police allege that Juday was beaten and thrown from a third-floor window during an altercation on campus.

According to preliminary findings by investigators, the incident reportedly followed an encounter in which Juday was cracking jokes with a fellow international student, Faith Mogha, a Malawian national. Police sources said the interaction allegedly triggered a confrontation that later escalated into violence.
Following the incident, Majak is said to have fled the university premises after police launched a manhunt for suspects linked to the killing. He was later arrested at an airport while allegedly attempting to flee India.
As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities have arrested a total of five suspects in connection with the case. Those in custody include four South Sudanese male international students and one Malawian female international student, Faith Mogha.

All suspects remain in police custody and are being interrogated to determine their individual roles in the fatal incident. The Indian government has described the case as a priority matter, assuring that a thorough investigation is underway into the killing of the Liberian international student.
