The heated exchange between MC Caro and DJ Weezy has officially escalated, and this time, Caro is taking no prisoners.
After the legendary DJ clapped back at her earlier comments by saying “Liberian DJs don’t owe musicians anything” and accusing artists of feeling “entitled,” MC Caro fired off a new wave of tweets that’s setting Liberian Twitter on fire.
In a fiery tweet, she wrote:
“DJ Weezy every Liberian DJ force to DJ Liberian music stop miss leading people.
Yes they force cus Wettin make nehn Liberian DJ in lay first place.”
She didn’t stop there, MC Caro went on to express her frustration with the state of Liberian club playlists, calling out DJs for failing to update their sets with the latest hits.
“I wanna enter the club n enjoy a whole bunch of different different Liberian club bangers, recent ones too, don’t tell me natin else.
If u claim to be a Liberian DJ n still mad bout me calling u out for not doing the very tin u claim, I’m not the drama.”
And then came the knockout line:
“These club bangers here n there but when u go to Liberian clubs niggas wanna wound you with gbo gbo gbo hun gbo.
Ur need to do well Liberian club DJs, update ur playlist with more recent Liberian club bangers n DJ well.”
MC Caro’s words have sparked even more debate online, with fans split between those praising her for speaking the hard truth and others accusing her of disrespecting an entire DJ community.
Supporters say she’s echoing a sentiment many artists have long felt, that Liberian music doesn’t get enough love in its own nightclubs. Critics, however, argue that she’s ignoring the realities of DJing, where crowd preference often drives the playlist.
Still, one thing is undeniable, MC Caro has reignited one of the industry’s oldest conversations: should Liberian DJs be required to prioritize Liberian music?
As the back-and-forth continues, social media is watching closely to see whether other artists, or DJs, will join the conversation or stay out of what’s quickly becoming one of 2025’s biggest entertainment debates.
