The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has suspended Grace Weah, popularly known as Master Queen, from all football-related activities pending an investigation by the Ethics Committee.
Weah, who serves as President of Determine Girls FC, is accused of defying LFA rules during the WAFU Zone A Women’s Champions League held in Senegal. The LFA says she refused to comply with its regulations on appointing a Head of Delegation (HoD) and acted outside the established framework.
According to the Association, Weah violated Article 18.3 (A), Chapter 12 of the LFA 2018 Revised Statutes, as amended. The violation stems from her decision to ignore official instructions and reportedly issue three fake travel tickets to the designated HoD, Madam Rochell Woodson. The act left Woodson stranded at Roberts International Airport, a move the LFA says brought the governing body into public disrepute.
The suspension bars Weah from taking part in any football activity and from entering football facilities across the country until the conclusion of the investigation.
The case now lies before the Ethics Committee, which will decide the next course of action.
