Did you notice that Kizzy W didn’t perform at the Iowa event with JZyno as was announced and a flyer was posted online?
If yes, then we have some news as to what went wrong. If no, read this thoroughly.
Liberian R&B star Kizzy W has broken his silence following his absence from a performance with fellow artist JZyno in Iowa, a show that many fans had anticipated as part of their U.S. tour appearances.
In a public statement shared on his social media, Kizzy W disclosed that he was indeed scheduled to perform at the event but chose not to hit the stage after a disagreement with the event promoters over payment. According to him, while JZyno was paid in full, he Kizzy only received part payment for the show. Despite being present at the venue, sitting in his car, he refused to perform under what he described as unfair conditions.
“I may be at the venue sitting in my car but once my balance isn’t paid like IOWA the “love for the fans” will not bring me on stage.
If they vex let them cancel my visa” – Kizzy W explained in one of his recent online posts.
The situation appears to have escalated quickly. As of the time this article was written, Kizzy W has deleted the Iowa show flyer from his social media, a move fans interpret as him distancing himself from the event altogether. He has also spent most of the day calling out the promoters online, accusing them of mistreatment and unprofessional conduct.
What began as a payment dispute has now resulted in a broader fallout.
Reliable sources have confirmed to Geez Liberia that the remaining joint shows between Kizzy W and JZyno have been officially canceled. The promoters have reportedly cut ties with Kizzy W following the incident and are no longer willing to proceed with any engagements involving the artist.
The news has sparked conversations within the Liberian music community, with many fans and industry observers weighing in on the importance of honoring artist contracts and respecting the work of performers, especially on international stages where representation matters.

As of now, neither JZyno nor the promoters have issued a public statement on the matter. Kizzy W, however, continues to speak out, and it remains to be seen how this will impact future collaborations between the two artists, who had only recently begun touring together.
Also worth noting, Kizzy W has since deleted the Iowa event flyer from his social media.
