Multiple sources within the Executive Mansion have disclosed to Geez Liberia that President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has suspended Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) Commissioner-General Abdullah Kamara amid serious corruption allegations.
The suspension, according to our sources, follows findings from a 2024 audit report released by the General Auditing Commission (GAC), which reportedly flagged several financial irregularities under Kamara’s leadership.
Credible sources also tell Geez Liberia that the Ministry of Justice is in the process of preparing a formal indictment, as the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) continues an active investigation into the matter.

The full details of the allegations have not yet been made public, and at this time, we have not independently verified or confirmed the authenticity of the claims. Efforts to obtain official comments from the LTA, the Executive Mansion, and the Ministry of Justice have so far been unsuccessful.
This is a developing story. Geez Liberia will continue to monitor and update the public as more information becomes available.
