The music industry was abuzz this week after reports surfaced that rising artist SIO had secured a massive 25 million Liberian Dollar (LRD) deal with LIB Muzik. However, the singer’s mother, Godgrace Arece G. Swen, has stepped forward to firmly deny the claims, calling for clarity from the record label.

The controversy began when popular blog Morning Gees posted a congratulatory message celebrating SIO’s supposed 25 million LRD signing. The news quickly spread across social media, with fans and industry observers applauding what appeared to be a major milestone for the young artist.

But just two days after the official signing ceremony, SIO’s mother took to Facebook to shut down the rumors. Sharing Morning Gees’ post, she wrote: “My son did not receive 25 million. Y’all ask LIB Muzik to clear the air.” She emphasized that the congratulations were premature and inaccurate, urging the label to publicly clarify the terms of the deal.

Her statement has since sparked debate among fans, with many questioning the details of SIO’s contract. Did the artist receive a different amount? Were there misunderstandings in the initial report? So far, neither SIO nor LIB Muzik has issued an official statement addressing the claims.

Adding to the intrigue, SIO’s mother later deleted her Facebook post, leaving followers to speculate about the reasons behind her decision. Was it a strategic move, or is there more to the story?

As the discussion continues, fans are eagerly awaiting an explanation from LIB Muzik. One thing is clear, this isn’t the last we’ve heard about SIO’s signing.

What do you think? Was there a miscommunication, or is there more to this story? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
