The Liberia National Police (LNP) has issued an urgent public alert, declaring seven individuals wanted in connection with a wave of violent attacks and forced displacements in the Louisiana community, Montserrado County.
The primary suspect, identified as Blama Wright, alleged leader of the group, alongside six others, stands accused of terrorizing residents, illegally occupying properties, and forcibly evicting families from their homes under disputed land claims.
According to police reports, the group allegedly armed themselves with firearms, cutlasses, and other weapons to intimidate and drive out locals, leaving dozens displaced and traumatized. Many victims were reportedly given no warning before being violently ejected from their homes and villages.
New reports coming out suggest that the call for their arrests also stems from an alleged violent incident involving thugs acting on the order Mr. Wright to follow another person, identified as Mr. Ben Garnett, while they were on their way home from assessing a land they were in dispute with Mr. Wright about. The thugs reportedly disarmed Mr. Garnett associate, George Walker, who also happens to be a police officer carrying an assigned weapon. During the violent incident, Officer Walker sustained an injury on his left foot after he was shot by the thugs. The vehicle of Mr. Garnett was destroyed and the thugs fled the scene on their motorcycles, which they used to tail Mr. Garnett and Officer Walker from the land, to the police station and then Mount Barclay, New Israel Community.
“These individuals have caused immense suffering,” said an LNP spokesperson. “Their actions are not only criminal but have disrupted the peace of entire communities.”
The wanted individuals include:
- Blama Wright (identified as the group’s leader)
- Boakai Massaquoi
- Sadu Bar
- Didia
- Asante
- S.K. (name partially known, pending investigation)
- Other unidentified accomplices
Authorities warn that the suspects are considered armed and dangerous, urging the public to avoid any interaction with them.

The LNP has called on citizens to report any sightings or information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts immediately. “We are committed to restoring safety and ensuring justice for the victims,” the police statement emphasized.
Community leaders in Louisiana have expressed relief at the police intervention but remain fearful of further violence. Many displaced families are still seeking shelter, with local organizations stepping in to provide aid.
Police confirm that investigations are active, with efforts underway to locate and apprehend the suspects. Additional security measures have been deployed in the area to prevent further attacks and protect vulnerable residents.
As the manhunt intensifies, authorities reassure the public that no one is above the law. “We will pursue every lead to bring these individuals to justice,” the LNP vowed.
