Now, his latest move, a swift suspension of National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) President/CEO Madam Rostalyn Suakoko Dennis, has sent a strong message that he intends to follow through on that promise.
In an Executive Mansion release on today, February 8, 2025, President Boakai ordered the immediate suspension of Madam Dennis without pay. The move follows a resolution from NOCAL’s Board of Directors, which recommended her suspension and an investigation into undisclosed allegations. The specifics of the allegations points to the issues of corruption surrounding the purchase of her official vehicle and the disbursement of some findings under her administration as CEO of NOCAL.
Madam Dennis has been instructed to turn over all government properties in her possession to NOCAL’s Vice President for Operations, Mr. Fabian Michael Lai, who will take over interim leadership of the company.
