Each of these winners has worked tirelessly to elevate Liberian music to new heights. From CIC dominating the night with multiple awards to MC Caro’s powerful run as a trailblazing female artist, the MLMA 2024 was truly a showcase of Liberia’s finest.

Special congratulations to CIC who claimed the prestigious awards of the night, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year awards, which has further solidified his reign as one of the greatest Liberian artist of ever. A shoutout to Mr. Church, who also claimed both Hip-hop Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year, a testament to his meteoric rise. JZyno also made waves, proving once again why he’s a force in Afrobeats by earning the Male Artist of the Year and Collaboration of the Year awards.

Let’s not forget the brilliance of producers, video directors, and DJs like KellzBeatz and Faithvonic, whose behind-the-scenes work shapes the music we love. A side catching news is the one of Liberian songstress and video Director Faithvonic who has for the first time in her career won an MLMA award since coming into the industry as a singer. She won the award not for releasing a hit song or video, but for directing some of the Industry’s best music videos released this year. Throughout the year she worked with top videographers and producers like Jackie Russ and Ush. Interestingly, two months ago when MLMA announced their nominees, Jackie Russ took to his page to decline the nomination citing “Non Monetary Value” as a reason. But sources and top pundit bashed him for it stating that his decline was to give his close associate, Faithvonic, the opportunity to at least be in good standing to win the category which she did.

As we congratulate all the winners, let’s also applaud every nominee who continues to inspire and push the boundaries of Liberian music. The MLMA 2024 was more than an event—it was a reminder of how far our music industry has come and the incredible potential it holds for the future.

Congratulations to all the winners, and here’s to another year of groundbreaking music!
