Residents of Gbarnga, Bong County, have expressed their frustration with the state of the public latrine at CB Dunbar Comprehensive Hospital in Gbarnga.
The facility, which is the only public hospital in the county, has been described as dirty and unhygienic.
According to residents, the latrine at the hospital is not properly cleaned and maintained, leading to a foul smell and unhygienic conditions.
Many patients and visitors have complained about the lack of basic sanitation facilities at the hospital, which is a major concern for those seeking medical care at the facility.
One resident, Mary Kollie, expressed her disappointment with the situation. “The hospital is supposed to be a clean and healthy environment, but the state of the latrine is a major concern.
It’s dirty and there is no proper water supply for flushing,” she said.
Another resident, James Johnson, also criticized the hospital administration for not taking proper care of the latrine. “The hospital should ensure that the latrine is cleaned and maintained on a regular basis. It’s not only for the patients, but also for the staff and visitors,” he said.
The hospital is under the management of the Bong County Health Team, and residents are calling on them to take immediate action to address the issue.
They believe that the lack of proper sanitation at the hospital could lead to the spread of diseases and pose a threat to the health of the community.
The residents of Gbarnga are hopeful that the hospital administration will take swift action to improve the sanitation facilities at the hospital, ensuring a clean and healthy environment for all citizens.
