Abraham Kromah, the suspended Director General of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), has been summoned to testify in a significant drug trafficking case. Criminal Court ‘C,’ under the direction of Resident Judge Blamo Dixon, has ordered Kromah to appear on Friday, October 4, 2024, to serve as a defense witness.
Defense attorneys have emphasized that Kromah’s testimony is crucial to clarifying his involvement with the defendants. They believe his statements could play a key role in the case’s outcome.
In addition, Christopher Peter, the acting officer in charge at the LDEA, has been called to testify on Thursday, October 3. He is expected to present CCTV footage from the residence of George Obi, also known as Japan, which is relevant to the proceedings.
The case involves George Obi and several others, including Peter Mamah, Edwin Ozioko, Ndubuisi Okonkwo, Igwe David, and Sunday Udeh, who face multiple charges, including the unlawful distribution of controlled substances, unlicensed drug sales, and criminal conspiracy.
