Authorities in Sinoe County are on the lookout for a man identified as Ocampo Marlue, who fled after allegedly severing four fingers of his girlfriend, Agnes Thomas, during a violent altercation. The incident took place in New Kru Town, Greenville City.
According to reports, the attack occurred after Agnes expressed her desire to end the relationship, citing ongoing threats from Marlue. Agnes, now receiving treatment at F.J. Grant Memorial Hospital, revealed that she had endured years of hardship in the relationship, which began when Marlue brought her from Monrovia four to five years ago.
Speaking from her hospital bed, Agnes recounted the moments leading up to the assault. She told reporters that Marlue questioned her about her decision to leave. When she confirmed, an argument ensued, escalating into violence. Agnes defended herself before a neighbor intervened, allowing her to flee and seek medical attention.
The Liberian National Police (LNP) have declared Marlue a wanted man and are actively searching for him. Authorities are urging the public to report any information about his whereabouts to the nearest police station.
