Inspector General (IG) Josphine W A Davies of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry discarded thousand of expired rice.
Ms. Davies is the first youngest female to occupy this position as Inspector General at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, She is rapidly making headways in her performances; making sure that expired goods are pulled out from the Liberian markets.
Her first initiative in tracking down those involved in the selling of expired goods to the public took a dramatic turn when one Liberia’s largest supermarkets, the Abi Jaoudi Supermarket was fined US$75,000 for selling expired products.
Ms. Davies’ move rid Liberia out of expired goods was welcomed by Liberians who applauded the efforts of the Ministry through its Inspector General, especially taken on one of the ‘Untouchables’ who sell and understand the Liberian Market very well.
On today, leader Davies was seen again dumping some unwholesome rice at the Weni town dump site in the city of Paynesville City, Monrovia Liberia. General JoJo quest in transforming the Liberian Market from expired goods is unquestionable and cannot be taken lightly.
Speaking to the Media, Ms. Davies vowed to continue carrying out the assignment given her by the Liberian leader, President George Weah and to fearlessly do the job as required by the Liberian people. She also told the media that she’s resolved to do the Liberian people’s job, and no money will make her to stop serving the Liberian people; Ms. Davies said.
