Villagers In Shock After A 57 Year Old Man Killed Himself Inside His House

Residents of Heengai village have been reported to have expressed their shock and grieve over the death of a 57- year old man who committed suicide inside his room. According to the villagers, the victim was identified as one Mr Stephen Amachika, his corpse was found hanging down from the ceiling fan in his room.

It was also gathered that the police was immediately notified after the dead body of the victim was discovered, the spokesperson for the police, who verified the incident said that one of the neighbors of the victim reported that Stephen (the victim ) was known all across the village as a very cool and sociable person, he interacted with almost everybody in the community, this is why his cause of death and his death itself came as a shocking news to the villagers.

The victim\’ s friend who discovered the corpse was said to have spoken to the police at the scene, he narrated that he was going to pay the suspect a visit as he had promised him the day before the incident, upon arriving at the victim\’ s house, he(the victim\’ s friend) reported that he knocked severally but there was no response, he said he initially thought that Stephen was not around but he also realized that his bike was parked in his compound, which indicated that he is definitely around.

After knocking severally, the victim\’ s friend managed to find his way into Stephen\’ s house only to find his dead body hanging on the ceiling fan, he immediately ran out and notified other residents in the area, after which the police was also contacted.

The spokesperson was said to have further revealed that the victim\’ s body have been transported to the community\’ s mortuary for preservation and autopsy while investigations is being carried out.
