“Special Message: Today I resume my duties and responsibilities as National Secretary-General of the Unity Party.
The events of the past four weeks were unfortunate and I take full responsibility for my actions and inactions. I truly regret the incident. However, what happened neither defines me as a person nor defines my character. I am a human and do fall short at times of what society demands and expects of me as a public figure.
Moving forward, I have learned some very valuable lessons and will do my utmost best to ensure that my future dealings and operations do not fall short of what is expected of me by the public. I appreciate all those who made numerous denigrating comments to my person and my family; I got my strength and resilience from you to continue soldering on. I also appreciate those who made constructive criticisms; you further strengthen my resolve to do the right things that are required me. My very special and heartfelt appreciation to those who provided the needed pieces of advice that set me on the right track.
Let me take this time to reassure our partisans, supporters, and well wishes that we will work together collectively for the good of the Unity Party and the betterment of Liberia.
Thank you and I am back!”
