Forkpah Pewee or “The Walking Encyclopedia”; as he is commonly known as by his colleagues, is an expert in Public Health Promotion and Education. Currently he serves as the Chairman of the Undergraduate Public Health Department at the University of Liberia. Forkpah previously worked as a Lecturer at the Cuttington University and Harbel College respectively before joining the University of Liberia Family.
He is a proud author who has authored two books on healthy life titled “Health Benefits of Fruits and Vegetables in Liberian Cuisine”, published by Book Publisher International, India/United Kingdom in October 2019; and “ABCs of Healthy Living”, which was published on Amazon, United States of America in July 2020.
Mr. Pewee is the Developer of the ‘Pewee’s Concept of Vicious Circle of Ill-health’ and a ‘Mathematical Formula for the calculation of the Prevalence of Vicious Circle of Ill-health’. This concept is included in his third book titled “Public Health: What it is in Liberia” which is still undergoing peer review and editing, and is set to be published and launched in September of this year (2021).
“The Walking Encyclopedia” graduated with honor from the Firestone Liberia Senior High School in 2010, enrolled at the Cuttington University and graduated in 2014. And furthered made his way to the Philippines where he graduated with a Master degree of Public Health in Health Promotion and Education from the Adventist University of the Philippines.
He was awarded “HEALTH PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR” by the Firestone Liberia Debate Club in 2019z And was also awarded a “Certificate of Scholastic Recognition” for having achieved academic excellence in peer-reviewed publication at the Thomas J.R. Faulkner College of Science and Technology in February 2021.
