Meet Eric “Godpower” Marshall the world’s youngest professional footballer.

Eleven years old Eric Godpower Marshall became (arguably) the youngest ever debutant in a Liberia Football Association league when he came on in the 90th minute against Perry Street Defender, March 8, 2021, in the ongoing Central Monrovia Subcommittee league. Meanwhile, last week, Godpower became the youngest to score in the famous Old versus New students\’ game of the Independent Bethlehem Baptist High School on the Oldroad. The eleven years old prodigy has had numerous suitors from England, US, Spain, Canada, Brazil, Egypt and Ghana.

Eric Godpower Marshall has broken the record of Baldivieso as the youngest player ever to play in a football federation league. The Bolivian was 12 years old when he came on as a substitute on July 19, 2009, against La Paz. But on 8th March 2021, 11 years old Godpower broke the record when he debuted in the Liberia Football Association Fourth Division league. His club Football Club Gar\’ou won 5-2 against Perry Street Defender. He came on in the 90th minute. On 29th March 2021, Godpower came on in the 60th Minute against Mondee Lions to rescue his club from a 2-0 deficit, while a man short. The game ended 2-2. Eric became the youngest ever player to score in the Old students vs New students game in Independent Bethlehem Baptist High School in Liberia. He is set to become the youngest ever player to play in the Liberia Inter High School league when he plays for Independent Bethlehem Baptist High next week.
