#BBL: Kpanto, Kizzy W and several Others blast Liberians for welcoming BBNaija Star Laycon as if he’s a god.

The winner of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show 2020, Laycon arrived in the country yesterday and received a very warmth welcome by the entire Big Brabee Liberia team, their contestants and the media.

It’s obvious that the way in which Liberians trooped to the Roberts International Airport to welcome the Nigerian Superstar, didn’t go down well with some Liberian artist and celebrities. They took to the various social media handles to express their disappointment in Liberians that chose to hail Laycon as if he was a God.

Kpanto wrote:

“They never value their own thing, they respect outsiders more than their own people but they be asking why this old country can’t move forward 🙄🙄
La our own seh holding this country down😡
They only respect n support u when u dead n gone, just like Quincy 😨”

And from the comment and counter post he got form other supporters of the BBL show in Liberia, Kpanto quickly came through to clarify what he actually meant by the post.

“I will never get mad at my people for going to welcome Another African brother, but the Question here is , why none of y’all went to Welcome our Liberian National Team 🇱🇷 players that came from all part of the Globe to Sacrifice themselves on June 11 against Tunisia, huh?🙄
So they’re not Branded too enh😂😂
Lay world will continue to mock us cus we ain’t serious people 😎
U can hate me all u want but I said what I said💪🏿💪🏿
All I was simply trying to say was love ur own, I didn’t say love me oo, I said ur own❤️

Another person who didn’t like the reaction of Liberians at Laycon’s arrival was Kizzy W as he also took to his Facebook handle to express his own dissatisfaction. Lamenting that Laycon is not even a superstar as Liberians see him to be. Where he comes from he’s just an ordinary artist like any upcoming artist in Liberia. So the welcome and respect he got was undeserving.
