According to sources the trains came from opposite directions and collided due to the lack of communication.

The incident occurred around kilometers 187 in Nimba County, with 14-persons on board which includes four employees who are operators and ten (10) passangers.

The employees are: Michael Toublon operator, Cliff Rogers Operator, George Clarke Train Assistant , and Peter Johnson Train Assistant.
Micheal Toublon is under serious condition as it is reported that his two legs got broken.

The injured employees and passengers were rushed to a nearby clinic for medical attention.
