DJ Weezy Pledges Support To Karishma’s District 10 Representative Bid Come 2023.

DJ Weezy has with immediate effect pledge his support to the representative bid of Liberian OAP, humanitarian and Actress Karishma Pelham Raad. The popular Liberian DJ took to his official Facebook page to make a post declaring his intentions of supporting Karishma to become the next representative of District #10 Montserrado county.

Reports has it that he is set to become the first Chief to Staff of Karishma Political Movement and will definitely serve in her office as well.

In his post, he said: “

I often asked myself “Why should I be interested in politics and government?

As someone who has spent many years in the Entertainment industry in Liberia , I recognize that, to some, Politics ,it\’s not the most glamorous of subjects.

While I understand why some might be apathetic toward this subject, I’d like to share three reasons why I will deeply be involve in politics and government.

1.Government and politics impacts nearly every aspect of our lives.
Whether we like it or not, government plays a huge role in our daily lives, ranging from the amount of tax you pay for your business, to your electricity bills.
Since we know that government impacts various choices we make, why not take the time to understand how the process works? Who makes these laws and how do they impact me?

1. Having knowledge of politics helps make you an informed voter.
   It’s a well known fact that many Liberians don’t vote.
2. #3. Politics is entertaining.
   While it might not be as entertaining as going out with your friends on a Friday night, politics can be quite fun. A good example of this is elections. My first memory of “exciting” politics was the defeat of Cllr Varney Sherman in the presidential election.

I was still trying to make my way in the Liberian entertainment industry and I recall being fascinated by the process. Elections come with everything from the drama of campaigns prospering and collapsing, to watching various “negative” campaign ads.

In short, I just wanted to say I am supporting Hon Karishma Pelham Raad with everything in the upcoming Representative Election in District 10, Montserrado county.

This is a people’s driven person that understands humanity.

For our industry to grow, we need someone of our kind to push the agenda of members of the creative sector of our country and Karishma is best suited for such task.”
