A statement posted on the official page of the Musicians Union Of Liberia (MULIB) stated that they have in partnership with the Liberia Intellectual Property Office (LIPO) and in consultation with MICAT, signed a memorandum of understanding to quarantine the high rate of piracy of Liberian Music / Video on the Liberian market.

The signing of the M.O.U which was done on the 21, of January 2020, is to guarantee and reduce the high rate of privacy in the Music Industry while also enhancing a huge first priority of Liberian Music in all secotrs of promotion. And all the parties at the signing of the M.O.U did agreed to work through a joint taskforce to enhance efficiency of their operations.

The Deputy Director General for Copyright, Clifford B. Robinson, Jr. signed on behalf LIPO, while MULIB\’s president, Sammy G. Gboguy Jr., signed for the Musicians Union Of Liberia.
