Meek Mill Street, located on North 22nd Street and the Ben Franklin Parwkay in the Fairmount neighborhood, is part of an installation coinciding with this weekend’s Made in America festival, where Mill’s protégé and dirt bike rider Chino Braxton will perform tricks and stunts with 15 other professional dirt bike riders, a spokesperson said. \”Yes you can wheelie on this block,” the rapper and Philadelphia native posted on Instagram, a nod to his controversial 2017 arrest after doing wheelies and other stunts on a dirt bike on the streets of Manhattan.

Mill, however, is in Chicago for the first stop of his Legendary Nights tour, and is not expected to pop any wheelies of his own or show at Made in America, a spokesperson said. Legendary Nights, co-headlined by rapper Future, will hit BB&T Pavilion in Camden on Sept. 13.

Earlier this week, Mill, born Robert Rhimeek Williams, celebrated the end to a 12-year saga in the Philadelphia justice system. On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a firearm, while the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office dropped all other charges against him, effectively ending a yearslong legal entanglement involving prison, probation, and repeated clashes with Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley.

In January, after being freed from prison while fighting his appeals, Mill partnered with Made in America founder Jay-Z and 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin to establish the REFORM Alliance, an organization that aims to reduce the number of people imprisoned and on probation.
